The Bomiso Philosophy
Bomiso is the embodiment of my vocation: a contemplative path of transformation that integrates body, mind, and soul into a lived, practical spirituality.

Bomiso is built on the belief that you don’t have to choose between inner depth and outer fulfillment. You can live with spiritual clarity, emotional richness, and grounded purpose without denying the complexity of modern life. With honesty and accountability, you can live fully awake, without forgetting your mortality or letting your precious days slip by.

Rooted in Western wisdom traditions and influenced by the middle way, Bomiso offers a non-dogmatic approach to spiritual integration. It honours the body as sacred, the mind as luminous, and the soul as the seat of inner knowing. This path welcomes anyone seeking a more intentional life, whether you identify with a faith tradition or are simply drawn to stillness, presence, and transformation.

Bomiso balances discipline and ease, tradition and creativity, structure and freedom. It is both a question and a practice; a life where contemplation is embodied, where movement and silence become tools for clarity, and where philosophy becomes action.

Through curated resources, sacred movement, reflective writing, and one-on-one coaching, I offer accessible pathways into contemplative living. This is a space to slow down, connect with what matters, and become more fully yourself.
Nicho Fournie

From an early age, I was drawn to life’s deepest questions about existence, death, and the mystery that holds it all. Without a religious upbringing, I turned instinctively to Buddhism, building a temple in my childhood closet at twelve. What began as a search for escape has become a journey of turning toward life, of learning to stay, to feel, and to live more fully within it.

That seeking has taken many forms: spiritual highs and existential lows, solitude and study, grief and growth. I earned a Master of Theological Studies and immersed myself in Western wisdom traditions, but my most important learning has come through experience. After my father died, I spent five difficult years living in Panama, where I hiked mountains daily and faced the raw silence of my own inner life. It was a hard chapter, but a formative one.

Only after leaving Panama did I begin to drop out of my head and into my body. That shift changed everything: how I understand transformation, how I pray, how I live. It brought me closer to the vision behind Bomiso.

I’m young, and I don’t pretend to have all the answers. I’m not here to tell anyone how to live. But I’ve been trained in non-judgmental deep listening, and I’ve committed myself to helping others discover the path that’s true to them. My own path is rooted in contemplative spirituality, shaped by silence, and grounded in a love for embodied presence, but that doesn't mean that yours has to be.

Today, I live in Calgary, Alberta, and continue to hike regularly in the Rocky Mountains. I’m also a writer and creative, passionate about language, symbolism, and the art of making the invisible visible. More than anything, I care about walking through life with clarity, integrity, and kindness, even when it’s hard.

I know I’m not perfect, and I stay accountable to that truth in myself.

I’ll be sharing more pieces of my story, honest, imperfect, and unfolding, through my blog and YouTube channel over time.

Yin Yoga Teacher Training
(50-Hour YACEP Certification)
Yoga Santosha, Calgary
My study of Yin Yoga focused on the delicate balance between effort and surrender, exploring its physical, mental, and energetic effects. I developed a deep understanding of compression versus tension and learned how to guide others safely through meditative postures that encourage deep release and introspection.
2025
Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training
(200-Hour RYT Certification)
Andrew Eppler, AYS
I trained in the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga, immersing myself in the Primary Series, Sanskrit chanting, pranayama, and yoga philosophy as an integrated spiritual and physical discipline. This training deepened my understanding of precise alignment, postural analysis, and hands-on adjustments, while also connecting me to the Mysore lineage through study with esteemed Sanskrit scholars. It shaped my approach to therapeutic movement, integrating breath, discipline, and tradition into a holistic path of embodied transformation.
Teachers
I am deeply grateful for the many teachers who have shaped my spiritual formation, each leaving an indelible mark on my path. While I cannot name every person who has guided me, I hold deep respect for those who, in recent years, have shared with me their wisdom, silence, affirmation, and discipline. From theologians and monastics to Swamis and Zen priests, each one expanded my sense of what is possible, showing me how devotion can take many forms, and how queerness, reverence, and depth can live together in one life.
These teachers, along with many unnamed companions, have shaped my understanding of presence, practice, and the sacredness woven through even the most ordinary moments. I carry their influence with care and gratitude.
