Gomorrah was created in collaboration with Fatima Qaraan of Ilna Healing Collective as a modality for addressing religious trauma.

Gomorrah was birthed out of a love for the landscape and the profound freedom of the hilltops that surround my home. It recalls the burns of forest fires that ravage the grasslands and trees days before filming.

It also recalls Genesis 19:24: "Then the Lord rained down burning sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the Lord out of the heavens."

This visual study suggests love, madness, solitude, and conflict. Gomorrah's gentle, feminine, yet synonymous name contrasts with Sodom's harsh connotation.

Gomorrah is a challenge with no answers. It is a manifestation of the hurt scripture inspires when wielded against the marginalized.
